venice and ikea

went to venice again today. we were only there for a few hours, because our target was padova, and the ikea that is there. ikea is a strange place... after breezing through some sections, knowing exactly what we wanted in some, and copletely ignoring a few others, we managed to make it out of the place is just over 2 hours. appearantly, this was a 'quick' ikea trip. it's a large warehouse of cheaply made houseware items. it's dangerous. especially when you live in a space that badly needs some re-decoration design. however, it's not my space, so i stifled those visions, putting them on hold until i could have a space of my own to redesign.

venice, as before, was super nifty. it was nice walking through it and remembering large portions of the city as we passed. we hit the major tourist spots, as we didn't have a lot of time. we stopped for a €5 cup of coffee... it was good coffee, really, but €5? that's a bit much... then again, it was venice.
